Richardson 112 sizing: OSFA, 112XL and youth 112Y
The Richardson 112 is one size fits all with a plastic snapback, but Richardson also makes an XL and a youth version. Battle Born Clothing decorates all three identically; the blank is the only thing that changes. Here is how to size an order so nobody gets a cap that does not fit.

What OSFA really covers
The standard 112 fits most adults. The snapback adjusts across about 2 in of circumference. The crown itself is mid profile and structured, so the limit is crown depth more than band length: on a very large head the OSFA sits high even with the snap fully open. That is when the 112XL matters. The XL has a deeper crown and a longer band.
How to split a crew order
Without measuring anyone, we suggest ordering about 90 percent OSFA and 10 percent 112XL for an adult crew; for crews with a lot of larger builds, 15 to 20 percent XL. Same logo, same decoration, same per-cap decoration price; only the blank differs. Tier pricing counts the total of both sizes as one style for decoration, and we quote the XL blank per job.
Measuring
If you want to be exact, measure around the head just above the ears and eyebrows with a soft tape. Under 22 in: consider the 112Y. 22 to 24.25 in: OSFA. Over 24.25 in: 112XL.
Youth 112Y
The 112Y is the same cap scaled down: structured front, mesh back, snapback. It fits most kids from about age 6 through the early teens and many small adults. Logo size scales too; we shrink the front decoration about 15 percent on the 112Y, and a patch that is 2.5 in wide on an adult 112 becomes about 2 in. Family reunions, youth sports and fundraisers mix 112 and 112Y in one order with one logo file.

These are planning numbers, not a fitting guarantee. Hair, how high someone wears a cap and crown shape all move the fit by a quarter size. When in doubt for a gift or a uniform order, OSFA with a few XLs covers almost everyone.

- Richardson 110 R-Flex: stretch fit in S/M and L/XL, no snapback. Suggested split 40/60.
- Richardson 115: OSFA only; lower crown fits smaller heads better than a 112.
